Living Room

Living in an apartment or small space can be tough. Using mirrors as decorations in any room, especially bedrooms can work wonders for opening up the room.

Turn 100 spoons, paint, hot glue, cardboard, and a frame less mirror into a piece of wall art that reflects light and maximizes your bedrooms space. Use the cardboard as a base, and glue the painted spoons in a layered form on cardboard.

Leave a space the size of your mirror, and glue into place once you’ve finished glue the shaped spoons into place. Once you’re finished, add a hook to the back and hang on your wall for a mirror that looks great and spreads natural light into your apartment’s bedroom.

Living Room/Dining Area

Coaster not always needed, but definitely appreciated. There are so many different DIYs for creating uniquely different coasters. A couple of DIY coaster projects to try are:

Scrabble Coaster

Scrabble letters, a thin corkboard, super glue, a hot glue gun, and sealer is all you need to make your very own scrabble coaster. Take the 16 letters you want to use, spell anything you want or nothing at all and Glue the letters together. Cut the cork and attach it to one side of the letters, seal, and Voila! These coasters are almost as cool as hitting a triple word score…almost.

Kitchen

If you’ve ever been to the flea market or thrift shop, you’ve probably seen exquisite tin boxes of some shape or size. The next time you see one you like but aren’t sure what you could use it for, remember this article!

Tin boxes can be turned into functional fridge magnets with a magnet strip and some hot glue. Glue the magnet to the back of the tin box, stick it on your fridge and enjoy!

Bathroom

Give an old towel a new lease on life by turning it into a fluffy new bathmat! Head to a craft or homebuilding store and pick up a “gridding mate,” which in some locations might be called a “Latch-rug canvas”.

This a couple old towels, and a lazy Sunday, is all you need to make yourself a brand new eco-friendly bathmat. Cut the towels into strips ¾ inches thin, 5-6 inches long. Make sure each strip is facing the same way and knot each strip along the grid.

HarithaHomes interior design specially meant for Luxury apartments in Thrissur makes your dream come true.
